Saksworks - Manhattan, NY
Drop the Beet Farms consulted, designed, fabricated, and serviced multiple styles of custom Hydroponics systems for Saks 5th Ave Flagship Store, Liberty Street Saksworks in Lower Manhattan, and Vesey Street Saksworks in Brookfield Place. The Systems grew over 2,000 vegetative plants, supplying over 20 different varieties of leafy greens and herbs for harvest and bagging for Saksworks members and Hudson Bay Company employees. The intention of these systems is to improve light quality in low-lit areas, and create an interactive aesthetic that can draw people in to smell the herbs, talk with the farmers, and bring home fresh cut salad greens and garnishes on a weekly basis.
