Unlike traditional hydroponic operations focused solely on maximizing efficiency and profit, we use hydroponics as a tool for inclusion and empowerment. Our mission is to make farming and gardening accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or location. Through innovative techniques and personalized engagement, we create opportunities for connection, learning, and growth, ensuring that no one is excluded from the joy and benefits of cultivating life.
Soldier On - Tinton Falls, NJ & Agawam, MA
Soldier On's sustainability efforts on their Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community includes greenhouses for veterans to grow their herbs and produce. Custom-built, high yield hydroponics systems, provided by Drop The Beet Farms, grow plants in a pesticide-free and herbicide-free, soilless environment. Veterans in Tinton Falls, NJ, and Agawam, MA use the systems to supply vegetables and herbs for Soldier On Kitchen as well as local food banks and other organisations within the community.
RWJ Barnabas Health Field of Dreams - Toms River, NJ
Custom designed and installed Aquaponic Grow Studio - This system is wheelchair accessible and grows 640 plants with two 300 gallon fish tanks featuring a viewing window to the outside. It was designed for accessibility to all and specifically designed for Toms River Field of Dreams, a nonprofit that focuses on those with special needs of all ages and abilities, providing them opportunities to engage, explore and socialize together. This system is maintained by our staff and members of ARC Ocean County chapter that meet each week to harvest greens to donate to the local community through Fulfill Food Bank. This project is a dream come true.
Main Street Greens - Toms River, NJ
Main Street Greens, a social enterprise by 21 Plus, Inc., supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while benefiting the community. It produces and sells healthy, sustainable produce to local restaurants and the Toms River Farmers Market, while also donating to nonprofit partners to combat hunger. Main Street Greens embodies 21 Plus’ mission of inclusivity and value for all. The initiative is a collaboration with Cody Parker, Founder of Drop The Beet Farms, supported by the 21 Plus Foundation and M&T Charitable Foundation.
